Upon arrival at Guwahati Railway Station / Airport meet & greet, then transfer to Shillong known as “Scotland of the East". While traveling one can see the majestic Umiam Lake (Barapani) surrounded by sylvan hills and wrapped in the beauty of an assortment of green Khasi-pines and the azure blue skies. Check into the hotel after arriving in Shillong. You can visit the local market in the evening. Enjoy an overnight stay in Shillong.
After a delicious breakfast, enjoy an excursion to Cherrapunjee. On the way to Cherrapunjee visit Elephanta Falls, Shillong Pick. At Cherrapunjee, visit Nohkalikai Waterfalls, Mawsmai Cave, Dainthlen Waterfalls, Arwah Cave, and Wei Sawdong waterfalls. After that, we return to Shillong. Enjoy an overnight stay in Shillong.
After breakfast enjoy an excursion tour to Mawllynong and Dawki (100 kms / 03 hrs drive approx, it is advisable to carry a packed lunch to Mawllynong). Mawlynnong village, situated 90 kms ahead of Shillong on the Shillong- Dawki Road, 30 kms from Pynursla, is a village of 75 households with a population of 400. An idyllic location, this village epitomizes a standard that all other villages need to aspire to be. According to Discover India Magazine, the primary village school until class V boasts of a zero-dropout record and a 90% literacy rate. Paved walkways and picturesque flowerbeds all along mark the village. In addition, waterfalls, a living root bridge, hilly rivulets, acacia plantations and an excellent view of the faraway plains of Bangladesh all contributing to the ambience of this village. Farming of betel nut & leaves, broomsticks and pepper along with bee rearing are the primary economic activity of this Village and with the village headman himself taking the responsibility of making visitors comfortable, a day in this village gives an insight into the life of the Khasis, the influence of the Church and its metamorphosis. (Also visit the Tree House, Living Root Bridge, Sky View Point, Balancing rock). When in Meghalaya, visit Dawki, a small border town in the Jaintia Hills famous for its river Umngot. Sandwiched between India and Bangladesh and also famous for its tourism scene, with many people flocking to the city in order to experience a boat ride in its famed Umngot River and enjoy the nearby sights and soundsThe city becomes a hotbed of tourist activities especially during the spring months as it hosts the boat riding competition on the Umngot River. The surrounding greenery, the cold water of the river and the beautiful suspension bridge on the River Umngot make Dawki a place worth a visit.
Check out of the hotel after breakfast and enjoy sightseeing around Shillong. Visit Hydari Park, Wards Lake, Golf Course, Bishop Beadon Falls etc. After that, you will be transferred to Kaziranga (Home of the “One Horned Rhinoceros”). On arrival at Kaziranga, check into the hotel & enjoy the evening at leisure. Enjoy an overnight stay in Kaziranga.
At 5AM, go on an elephant ride. Once you've finished your safari, you'll return to your hotel for breakfast. Later in the afternoon, you'll go on a Jeep safari in the Central Range. Enjoy an overnight stay at Kaziranga. (Safari charges are not included in the package)
We will check out of our hotel after breakfast and drive to Guwahati. On can enjoy a river cruise on mighty Brahmaputra river on a direct payment basis. After that, check in to the hotel and enjoy an overnight stay in Guwahati.
Early morning visit Kamakhya Temple. As soon as you have finished breakfast, you will be transferred to Guwahati Railway Station / Airport to proceed with your onward journey with unlimited memories of your Shillong excursion.
