Breakfast at hotel (6.30am – 9.00am)Today take a day tour of Hanoi's most interesting sights, including the Ho Chi Minh Complex: Ho Chi Minh's Mausoleum (from outside) and his Stilts House, the Presidential Palace and the One Pillar Pagoda and, nearby, the Temple of Literature. Free for shopping at the Old Quarter also known as the 36 streets and guilds. In the evening, enjoy a water puppet performance. These performances are accompanied by a Vietnamese orchestra playing traditional music using drums, wooden bells, horns, bamboo flutes and cymbals. Overnight in Hanoi.
Enjoy breakfast at the hotel. We leave Hanoi and proceed to the jetty to check-in to the boat. After lunch, you will go cruising in the magnificent bay, admiring the fascinating rock formations. You can enjoy swimming in the crystal clear water and later explore some small islets, relax on a white sandy beach, swim or kayak. Then, it’s back to the junkboat for relaxation, dinner and an overnight stay on board. Overnight on Cruise.
Rising to the sound of lapping bay waters, you have time for an early morning dip followed by breakfast. Sitting on the upper deck, you can relax while taking in the breath-taking beauty of the rocky islands rising from the marauded water of the bay. After breakfast, you explore Sung Sot cave, swim and relax at Soi Sim beach. The boat cruises back to the jetty while brunch is served. Your boat arrives at the harbor by noon. Rejoin your car drive and transfer directly to the airport for the flight to Saigon / Ho Chi Minh City. Upon arrival the airport, you will be greeted by your guide and transferred your hotel. Dinner will be at an Indian Restaurant. You’ll then have a relaxing overnight stay in Ho Chi Minh City. Overnight in Ho Chi Minh City.
In the morning, you will take a drive to visit Cu Chi tunnels - At its height, the tunnel system stretched over 250km. from Saigon to the Cambodian border and was three levels deep. The network included innumerable trap doors, specially constructed living areas, storage facilities, weapons factories, field hospitals, command centers and kitchens. Today the remaining tunnels have become a major tourist attraction giving the visitor a unique experience and a feel of what underground life during the U.S.-Vietnam American must have been like. In the afternoon, you will visit the Opera House and the Hotel de Ville, & War Remnants Museum. You’ll also be able to explore colorful outdoor markets and Dong Khoi Street, the city's main shopping boulevard with shops selling clothes and accessories by new Vietnamese designers, hill tribe crafts, high quality linens and housewares. Overnight in Ho Chi Minh City.
Breakfast at the hotel. Our guide and driver will pick you up at your hotel, and drive 1,5 hours to Mỹ Tho. We will stop along the way for refreshments and toilet. Upon arrival, we board a motor-boat and cruise along a vast network of canals and channels to enjoy wonderful views of the Mekong River, including four famous islands “Dragon, Unicorn, Turtle and Phoenix”. Stop at one of the floating fish houses, in nets and wire baskets under their house, the villagers cultivate freshwater fish and shrimp - a major export product of the region.Cross the River to the other side, you will stop at a traditional workshop to witness a step-by-step process on how to make coconut candy, honey farming… while trying some yourself and listening to traditional music. Lunch box Indian food. Enjoy what local people offer by hand rowing a sampan along the shady, breezy canal. We will transfer to local transportation called Xe Lôi to travel throughout the villages.Lunch will be served at a riverside restaurant with a Vietnamese 5-course set menu.Take a rest after lunch before boarding the motor-boat back to Mỹ Tho. Afterwards, you will be back to Ho Chi Minh City. Free until the driver pick up and take you to the airport for your flight to back home. Please note: Standard check out time is 12:00.
