Itinerary

Day 1: Guwahati Airport / Railway Station - Bhalukpong

Upon arrival at Guwahati airport / railway station receive transfer to Bhalukpong/Tezpur. On arrival check-in to hotel & enjoy rest of the day at leisure. Spend overnight at hotel in Bhalukpong.

Day 2: Bhalukpong - Dirang

After enjoying breakfast at hotel drive towardsDirang. On the way visit Tippi Orchid Centre. Enjoy overnight stay at hotel in Dirang.

Day 3: Dirang - Tawang

After enjoying delicious breakfast at hotel drive to Tawang. Enroute witness the snowcapped Sella Pass at 14000 ft and the JaswantGarh War Memorial. (Legend has it that Jaswant (Mahavir Chakra Awardee (Posthumous) of 4th BatallionGarhwal Rifles), fought a lone battle against the invading Chinese during the 1962 war. His spirit is still believed to protect the place). Enjoy overnight stay in Tawang.

Day 4: Tawang Local Sightseeing

After enjoying breakfast at hotel enjoy local sightseeing around Tawang - The beautiful land of the Monpa tribes with the “GALDEN NAMGYEL LHATSE” Monestary. It is 400 years old (17th century)Tawang Monastery, which is the second largest monastery in the world after Potala Palace in Tibet. The building is about 113 feet longand 80 feet wide and houses valuable antiquities, books and manuscripts-handwritten and printed. Later visit Tawang War Memorial, a 40 foot high multi-hued memorial, has a structure constructed in stupa design. Dedicated to the martyrs of Sino-Indo War held in 1962, this memorial is nestled among beautiful peaks, which overlooks the Tawang-Chu valley. ‘The Land of Dawn-lit Mountains’ at 3500 mts gives you unparallel purity of nature. Rest of the day enjoy at leisure & stroll round the streets of the town. Enjoy overnight stay in Tawang.

Day 5: Tawang - Bomdila

After enjoying a sumptuous breakfast check out from hotel & proceed to Bomdila. Spend the evening free at leisure. Enjoy overnight stay in Bomdila.

Day 6: Bomdila - Tezpur

After enjoying breakfast drive to Tezpur. On arrival check-in to hotel & spend rest of the day at leisure. Spend overnight at hotel in Tezpur

Day 7: Tezpur - Guwahati

After breakfast check out from hotel and drive back to Guwahati. After reaching at Guwahati check in to the hotel. After that in the evening one may visit 'Kalakshetra', a place where Assamese history and culture is presented through Light and sound show. Enjoy overnight stay at Guwahati.

Day 8: Guwahati Local Sightseeing

After breakfast visit Kamakhya Temple situated on Nilachal hill located around 08 kms west of Guwahati city, is one of the most venerated shaktipeeth in India. The temple is dedicated to goddess Kamakhya an incarnation of Sati. It is on Nilachal hill (According to Shiva Purana, the yoni or creative organ of Sati fell when Vishnu, in a bid to save the world from the Shiva’s tandavanrittya or dance of destruction, cut her dead body into 51 pieces with his Suddarshan chakra. The worship place deep inside the temple marks the sacred spot and is kept covered with red silken cloth), Navagraha temple, Umananda temple, Balaji Temple, Sukreswar Temple, State Zoo. In the evening one can enjoy River cruise on the river Brahmaputra (On Direct Payment & Subject to Availability). Enjoy overnight stay at Guwahati.

Day 9: Guwahati Airport / Railway Station

After breakfast receive direct transfer to Airport/Railway Station for your onward journey with an unlimited memory of Arunachal Tour.
